Bio:
Shegun Otulana is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and founder of Harmony Venture Labs (HVL), a venture studio dedicated to launching and scaling technology companies that drive innovation and create lasting impact. Originally from Nigeria, Shegun moved to the U.S. to study at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where his early passion for technology and business took root.
In 2013, he founded TheraNest, a tool for mental and behavioral health providers. That business grew into Therapy Brands, a national platform serving tens of thousands of clinicians across the U.S. In 2021, Shegun exited Therapy Brands in a $1.25 billion transaction – one of the largest software deals in the Southeast and the biggest in Alabama at the time.
Today, through HVL, Shegun supports founders and builds innovative companies, including Copysmith AI, an AI-powered content creation startup where he serves as CEO.
Shegun is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and a mentor with Endeavor. He lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife and four children.
