Leslie Anderson-Rutland is currently Global Head of Employee Tech Experience and U.S. Chief Technology, Resiliency and Experience Operations Officer for BMO Financial Group, a financial services company headquartered in Toronto. In her role, Leslie leads the development and execution of the workplace experience tech team strategy that centers around the employee experience with a specific focus on employee collaboration, customer engagement, productivity tools, and environmental efficiency. Prior to her current role in technology, Leslie spent the majority of time leading national sales teams focused on companies in lower middle market. Prior to re-joining BMO, Leslie spent seven years Fifth Third Bank, where she was responsible for leading the creation of its middle market healthcare group in Chicago while also leading an existing top-performing Middle Market growth team. Leslie began her career at Harris Bank in 1996, where she led the bank's Urban Emerging Market strategy (UEM) - an initiative aimed at improving the Bank’s competitive stance with the minority markets throughout Chicago. Leslie has a BS in finance from Hampton University, and an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship, marketing, and strategy from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Leslie also holds a Certified Treasury Professional designation and a Smart Building certificate from Harvard University. Leslie serves on the board and various committees of the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center/1871, OneGoal Chicago, Cleveland Avenue Foundation for Education and Chicago State University Foundation Board. Leslie is a Fellow of the 2019 Class of the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network as well as a 2013 Chicago United Business Leader of Color and a 2006 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow.
