Bio:
Kevin Brennan is Co-head of the Investment Engine and Director of Investment Systems at Bridgewater Associates. Kevin is responsible for directing and overseeing the investors, technologists, data engineers, and analysts in developing and translating economic understanding into trading systems, ensuring that understanding is reflected in the construction of Bridgewater’s client portfolios and implemented accordingly. During his nearly 20 years at Bridgewater, Kevin has previously served as Head of the Portfolio Construction, Trade Execution, and Signal Construction teams, each of which are now integrated into his current responsibilities. Prior to joining Bridgewater in 2003, Kevin worked as an actuary at the Equitable (1996-99), earning his Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries, and then as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company (2001-03), serving in the financial services practice. In 2001, Kevin served the U.S. Treasury Department, leading the analytics to evaluate the economics of President Bush’s Social Security reform proposals. Kevin received a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Binghamton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, graduating with distinction. Kevin currently serves on the Investment Advisory Board of the Leadership Now Project, an organization of business people, policy professionals, and academics committed to reforming the U.S. democracy. Kevin is a Fellow of the 2019 class of the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
