Alessandra Genco is the chief financial officer of Leonardo, the global aerospace & defense company, headquartered in Italy. Before taking up her current position in Leonardo, Alessandra served as vice president of group finance, in charge of capital markets, treasury, investments and insurance. She was also head of investments and portfolio evaluation. Alessandra previously worked as vice president in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in New York, covering clients across numerous industries, including financial sponsors.
She also worked in Banca di Roma as a risk manager. She is a board member of various corporations and nonprofit organizations and serves as mentor to talented young women.
Alessandra holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an MS in Economics, summa cum laude, from LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. Alessandra is an Aspen Junior Fellow alumna and Young Leader of The Council for the United States and Italy. She is a Fellow of the 2019 class of the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
