Jerome Itty is regional head for Asia at AXA Partners. Jerome is based in Hong Kong and has oversight over a company with operations in six countries across the region. A subsidiary of the AXA group, AXA Partners is responsible for driving growth in innovative partnerships by designing new insurance solutions and services. Jerome joined AXA in 2014, as Vice President for strategy and business development at the corporate center in Paris. In this role, he contributed to open new perspective on digital disruption, big data and the future of risk pooling, blockchain and insuring the freelancers’ economy. He also contributed to craft AXA’s 2020 Ambition that reshaped the group around a “payer-to-partner” strategy. Prior to joining AXA, Jerome worked from 2010 to 2014 with the Inspection Generale des Finances of the French Ministry of Finance, where he advised the minister on reforms to support the financing and internationalization of startups and small and midsize enterprises (creation of the French public investment bank). He started his professional career in 2007 as a diplomat in the French Foreign Service, where was in charge of defining the French negotiation position on budget and growth strategy matters. He also worked in Brussels with the European Commission in 2008, at the cabinet of the European commissioner for external trade. Jerome holds a master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris, he spent a year at the Humboldt University as part of his curriculum, and has a master’s degree in international affairs from the London School of Economics. He is also an alumni of the Ecole Nationale d Admnistration. Jerome is a Fellow of the 2019 class of the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
