Bio:
Ms. Christina Bao is currently Managing Director acting as the Co-Head of Sales and Marketing Department at HKEX, responsible of all client and stakeholder engagement for HKEX. Ms. Bao joined HKEX in 2016 as the Chief of Staff to help the CE of HKEX to oversee overall management, strategic projects and business analysis, before she took on Global Issuer Services at HKEX, promoting Hong Kong as the top listing venue globally. Prior to joining HKEX, Ms. Bao worked with Ping An Bank (previously at Shenzhen Development Bank, which merged with Ping An Bank in 2010) since 2010. At Shenzhen Development Bank, she held multiple roles including the Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO Office from 2005 until 2010. During the merger of Shenzhen Development Bank and Ping An Bank, Ms. Bao was in charge of the integration. Subsequently, she has headed Retail e-Banking, Service & Marketing. Before joining HKEX, Ms. Bao was the General Manager of Retail E-Finance SBU. During 1999-2000, Ms. Bao participated in an international program sponsored by the British Council, and worked at Bank of Scotland in the U.K. in corporate banking and syndicated loans. Ms. Bao received her Master of Business Administration (Finance, General) from Peking University. She is a Fellow of the seventh class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
