Bio:
Mr. Scott Chen is Managing Partner of LCatterton Asia. LCatterton, formed as a partnership between LVMH and Catterton, is the world's largest consumer focused investment platform. Mr. Chen is the head of and chairs the investment committees of LCatterton Asia and LCatteron RMB funds. These fund platforms together manage over $3.5 billion assets across multiple US dollar denominated and RMB denominated funds. Prior to joining LCatteron in 2020, Mr. Chen spent nearly 20 years at TPG investing throughout Asia Pacific, most recently serving as Partner and Managing Director. Over the last decade at TPG, Mr. Chen drove the expansion of TPG’s China franchise and led or co-led TPG’s investments in Greater China. Prior to joining TPG, Mr. Chen worked in the Technology Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Lehman Brothers in New York. Mr. Chen’s non-profit activities include Chairman and Founder of Hope Matters Foundation and gracejoy capital foundation, China Fellow and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network of the Aspen Institute, member and former executive committee officer of Young President Organization’s (YPO) Beijing Chapter, and formerly China Senior Advisor to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Strategic Investment Fund. Mr. Chen received a B.S. in Business Administration with honors from University of Colorado.
