Autumn Qiu is the chief operating officer of the Business Development Accelerator (BDA), a new venture launched by McKinsey & Company to help leading companies build transformative businesses, including new business prototyping and launching and sales/partnership searching, etc. BDA’s target clients are companies facing critical transformative moment and need executional- and operational-level assistance. Prior to rejoining McKinsey, Autumn was a co-founder of Weiyan Technology, a start-up providing technical and operational services to financial institutions, and the chief marketing officer of Xiaoying.com (NYSE: XYF), a leading peer-to-peer lending platform in China. Before then, Autumn worked for McKinsey as a consultant for about 7 years and left as an engagement manager. Autumn enjoys writing and has a wechat public account with 80,000 followers. Her book, Multiple Choices, was published in Mainland in 2019, talking about how to manage anxieties and make right choices in life with self-awareness and self-discipline. Through her writing, she aims to help young professionals esp. working mothers to become more confident and effective to achieve their career and personal goals. Some of her most popular articles was reprinted in over 1,000 wechat public accounts. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Fudan University, master’s degree in economics from Peking University, and Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School. Autumn is a Fellow of the seventh class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
