Bio:
Dr. Jay Bhatt, MPH, DO, MPA, serves as chief clinical product officer and medical director at Medical Home Network, as well as adjunct faculty at the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to these roles, Jay was SVP and chief medical officer of the American Hospital Association. Most recently, he was the first chief health officer at the Illinois Health & Hospital Association. Previously, he was managing deputy commissioner and chief innovation officer for the Chicago Department of Public Health. There, he led the implementation of Healthy Chicago, the city's public health agenda, and innovations in cross-sector partnerships, predictive analytics, epidemiology, and informatics. Under his guidance, the department was recognized both nationally and internationally in its approach to using predictive analytics. He is a practicing internist and on the faculty at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. In 2012, he received his MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He received an MPH from the University of Illinois and a DO from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Jay was a White House Fellows National Finalist in 2013. In 2016, he was a Crain’s Chicago 40 under 40 and a Presidential Leadership Scholar. Additionally, he won the Harvard Kennedy School Public Service Award and is an Edgar Fellow. His patients call him the dancing doctor. Jay is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
