Larisa Páez is a visionary, determined and committed businesswoman, recognized for being the pioneer in the nutrition area in Costa Rica.
Her experience of more than 22 years as a professional in Human Nutrition has led her to create highly renowned nutritional centers in Costa Rica, reaching the nutritional care of around 50,000 people. Larisa Páez currently leads a team of nutritionists and psychologists, who develop projects and care for patients individually, supporting them at different stages of their life.
Her comprehensive approach stands out in all his nutritional consultations and interpersonal relationships. Larisa is the creator of a daily food organization and distribution system, and an application that accompanies all her patients with tangible results that impact lives. She has worked with more than 50 food companies in Costa Rica and the region in the innovation of healthy products, nutritional marketing, development of local campaigns and multiple corporate projects. Her professional resume stands out in his exposure in social media and conferences at a national and international level on topics focused on the promotion of wellness.
She currently leads a team that develops a mobile application that aims to provide a comprehensive wellness solution to people who have limited access to health; this alternative includes education and nutritional programs, physical activity and emotional health. This new program has the purpose of helping to educate its users in a very simple and accessible way, and thus prevent and treating non-transmissible chronic diseases that today, with obesity, are a major problem in Costa Rica.
Regarding her professional career, she has a master’s degree in Nutrition and Food from the University of Barcelona, the highest rank in Human Nutrition from the University of San José (Doctor in Human Nutrition), a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Purdue University and a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from Louisiana State University. Larisa is the third child of four, is married and mother of two; a twelve year old girl and ten year old boy. She is a Fellow of the 15th class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
