Omar Al Ghraoui is currently managing director of Unimetco Holdings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Omar joined Unimetco in October 2022 and is tasked with establishing the group's polyurethane manufacturing facilities in the KSA. Prior to that Omar was chief executive officer Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi (BBSF), the largest private sector bank in Syria. Omar joined the Bemo Saudi Fransi banking group in 2007 when he was tasked with establishing its investment banking arm, Bemo Saudi Fransi Finance, which went on to become the leading investment firm in Syria. Omar joined the executive management of the parent bank BBSF in 2015 and was appointed chief executive officer in 2018. Omar is a former Vice Chairman of BSFF and United Insurance Company (private Syrian insurer) and is currently a trustee of Syrian Antioch University (private Syrian university) and Dar Al Assad For Culture (Syria Opera House). Omar holds a BS in finance and international business from New York University's Stern School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Omar resides between Beirut, Dubai, and the KSA. He is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
