Bio:
Fouz Fahad Al-Sabah is the founder of Khaleejesque, an award-winning media brand that explores the Arab Gulf’s creative and cultural scene since 2009. She is also the founder of Khaleejesque Consultancy which specializes in strategy and research for the creative economy in the Arab Gulf countries. Dedicated to creating opportunities for the youth, creatives, and entrepreneurs, Fouz has worked on Kuwait's first creative economy strategy in collaboration with the National Council of Culture, Arts, and Letters and recently delivered a strategic and investment plan for the Creative and Cultural Industries in Oman. She is also working on creative economy related research and development projects with governmental entities and nonprofit foundations in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar. In 2019, Fouz won the national Entrepreneurial Award at the British Council’s Alumni Awards and was short-listed as a finalist in the Global Alumni Awards. An active spokesperson and academic, Fouz was invited as a speaker at the Creative Futures Forum 2019 in Riyadh, and the World Conference on Creative Economy 2021 in Expo 2020 Dubai. She has earned a degree in business administration, graduating magna cum laude, from the American University of Kuwait in 2008, as well as a master’s degree in the cultural and creative industries from King’s College London in 2011. She is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
