Bio:
Raya Yusuf-Sbitany is the chief executive officer of Derma Beauty Lab, a boutique skincare manufacturing company in Jerusalem, focusing on producing premium skincare products under several brands, most notably MINERALINE. The company has a sustainability strategy and a social program, focusing of ethical production and marketing, and creating job opportunities to women and youth from Jerusalem. Raya also served as chief business development & financial inclusion officer at Bank of Palestine. During her career at the bank between 2011 and 2018, she founded several new departments, and designed the bank’s Women’s Market program Felestineya, a comprehensive program to empower women internally and externally. In 2015, Raya received the award for Best Investor Relations Professional in Palestine by the Middle East Investor Relations Society. Raya is a member of the national Financial Inclusion Committee of the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA), and a member of the General Assembly of the Yabous Cultural Center in Jerusalem, in addition to serving as a mentor to several female owned businesses and startups. She holds a master’s degree from King’s College London in international management, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in Middle Eastern studies and economics. She is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
