An accomplished attorney and shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, practicing labor law across the country, Ellis recognized he wanted to make a career change that would allow him to focus on his family. Upon relinquishing his shareholder status and joining Inman Mills in the summer of 2017, his father-in-law, who was CEO, died suddenly two weeks after his arrival. While his father-in- law’s death was difficult personally and professionally, it confirmed his decision to change careers and focus on family. As Vice President and General Counsel, Ellis focuses on providing greater opportunity for the employees of Inman Mills and people living in Inman.
Ellis’s community involvement includes serving on the Boards of Artisphere and the Metropolitan Arts Council. He is a native of Corinth, Mississippi earning a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Mississippi and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
