A native of Mt. Carmel South Carolina in McCormick County, Rozalynn’s rural upbringing fuels her zeal for quality, accessible health care for all. Rozalynn serves as VP for Engagement for the South Carolina Hospital Association. Passionate about improving the well-being of populations through health and human service, she serves as the primary link with many private and public sector stakeholders, including policy-makers, community and advocacy groups, insurers and employers.
A fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rozalynn also oversees her brainchild, Working Well, SCHA’s multi-sector, comprehensive worksite wellness initiative impacting the heath of more than 100,000 employees in South Carolina.
With parents who were community organizers in McCormick, Rozalynn sees poverty as the root cause for many of South Carolina’s problems and has a heart for the poorest of us. Rozalynn is the co-inventor, alongside her daughter, of GaBBY Bows, the first and patented double-face, double-snap, girls’ hair barrette. Rozalynn holds a B.S. in Health Care Management, magna cum laude, from Lander University and a Master of Health Administration from the University of South Carolina.
