Bio:
Robert Hughes is President of Hughes Development Corporation in Greenville South Carolina, leading his family’s real estate development business into the next generation. He is passionate about the community, both in the sense of the place and people at large. He believes real estate has the ability to have positive social impact and create social change. In doing well by doing good, Robert looks for ways to build community in all of his professional and community endeavors.
Robert wasn’t always destined to continue his family’s legacy. He spent his younger years working both as a teacher and EMT and spent several years after college on the trading floor in NYC. Ultimately, his love for Greenville brought him back home. Robert earned his B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and is a Fellow from Liberty Fellowship's class of 2020.
