Title and Organization:
A native of New Zion South Carolina in Clarendon County, the granddaughter of sharecroppers on both sides of her family, Kimberly worked through the challenges of growing up in an impoverished community by excelling in school and being the first in her family to attend college. Since education was her key to success, she understands how education and advocacy can change the trajectory of South Carolina and also the lives of those who have few opportunities for success. Kimberly holds a B.A. in History and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Furman University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
Kimberly is a Shareholder of Haynsworth, Sinkler, Boyd, PA in Greenville. A successful bond lawyer, Kimberly has been named a South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star four consecutive years. A collaborator and change agent in Greenville, Kimberly was recognized as the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional of the Year, one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest Under 35, a Talented Tenth Greenville Top 10 Young Professional, and for her work as Chair of the Board of Pendleton Place and Chair of the African-American Leadership Council for the United Way. Kimberly is a Fellow of the 15th class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
