Gilbert Pooley is the co-founder of Umuzi and the African Coding Network, social enterprises supporting young people to access careers in the digital economy.
Before edtech, Gilbert worked in strategy consulting for the Boston Consulting Group.
He specialises in applying Design Thinking and Agile to design, scale and transform learning experiences, products, and organisations. Developing people, systems, and processes that support more human-centred solutions is where Gilbert likes to add value.
Gilbert is a fellow of the twelfth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He studied Economics in Cape Town and Dublin.
