Ryan Harrison is an Investment Principle at The SA SME Fund; the largest institutional investor in venture capital in South Africa, focusing on growing technology start-ups and developing the VC ecosystem.
Ryan also holds Board and Investment Committee positions, in South Africa and Kenya in the Education and Investment sectors.
Previously, Ryan co-founded SPARK Schools, a successful South Africa start-up, with the vision of changing the paradigm in education and exited in 2017.
Ryan holds an MBA from Gordon Institute of Business Science and a PDMM and BSocSci from Rhodes University. Ryan is a Fellow of Class XII of the African Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
