Bio:
Don Faul is the CEO of CrossFit, a fitness movement with over 5 million athletes and over 13,000 gyms around the world. Prior to that he was the CEO of Athos, a sports performance technology company that makes smart fitness apparel to serve Professional and Division I Collegiate sports programs, the Department of Defense, and everyday athletes. Formerly, he served as Head of Operations for Pinterest until February 2015, where he was a member of the executive team and responsible for Pinterest’s customer facing teams including marketing, sales, partnerships, community support, and international growth. During his tenure, Pinterest grew from 35 to 500 people over three years. Don joined Pinterest from Facebook, where he served as Vice President of Online Operations, the team responsible for supporting Facebook’s small and medium sized customers. Don helped launch Facebook’s offices in Dublin, Ireland, Hyderabad, India, and Austin, TX and helped scale the organization through tremendous growth. Formerly, he worked with Google as Manager of Online Sales and Operations, where he scaled and led the Checkout Merchant Operations team. From 1999 to 2003, Don served with the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer during Operation Enduring Freedom, including the initial invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. He later served as a platoon commander with 1st Force Reconnaissance Company during combat operations in Iraq. Don currently serves on the board of Nuru International, a non-profit with the mission to eradicate extreme poverty in fragile rural areas to build communities resilient to violent extremism. He holds a BS in Systems Engineering from The United States Naval Academy (1998), and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (2006). He lives with his wife Katie and three daughters in Woodside, CA. Don is a member of the 2020 Class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
