Bio:
Sarah Haacke Byrd serves as CEO of Women Moving Millions, a global membership community of over 360 philanthropists who have committed nearly a billion dollars to organizations benefiting women and girls. In her role, Sarah is responsible for building strategy and scale around WMM’s mission for greater impact in gender equality, including the recent successful launch of their recent $100 million campaign. Sarah came to WMM with 20 years’ experience building, guiding, and leading non-profit organizations in Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York dedicated to expanding civil rights, promoting civic education, reforming the criminal justice system, and ending sexual violence. Previously, Sarah served as Managing Director of the Joyful Heart Foundation, where she led the campaign to eliminate the backlog of hundreds of thousands of untested rape kits in the U.S. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a master's in Positive Organizational Development from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Sarah served as a founding advisory board member for Hive Gender Climate Justice Fund and sits on the Ambassador Council of Next Gen America. Sarah is a Fellow of the Civil Society Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
