Title and Organization:
Gizelle is global chief operating officer of the Global Investment Research (GIR) Division at Goldman Sachs (GS). In this role, she works closely with divisional leadership on the management of GIR, as well as the development and execution of key strategic initiatives. Gizelle has played a leading role in publishing research that addresses social and economic racial inequities, including her contributions to Top of Mind: Investing in Racial Economic Equality and Black Womenomics. She serves as co-head of the GS New York/New Jersey chapter of the Firmwide Black Network and is a member of the GS One Million Black Women Steering Council. She is also a member of the GS Firmwide Conduct Committee. Earlier in her career, Gizelle held a number of roles in Global Investment Research and Human Capital Management at GS. Gizelle joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 and was named managing director in 2017. Gizelle is a co-founder and board member of the Salisbury Development Organization, a nonprofit focused on hurricane relief and economic development efforts on the island of Dominica. She also serves on the Human Resources and Talent Committee for the DreamYard Project based in Bronx, NY. Gizelle earned a BS in Business Management from South Carolina State University, a historically black college/university, and an MS in Clinical Psychology from Georgia Southern University. Gizelle is a Fellow of the 2021 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
