Bio:
Philip has worked at Citi for twenty five years since joining Schroders in London on the graduate training program in 1996. He is currently global head of technology and communications banking, capital markets and advisory, based in San Francisco. Philip is responsible for all of Citi’s corporate and investment banking activities across the super group. He is a member of the Global Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory Executive Committee and Global Accountability, Culture and Talent Advisory Council. Philip was previously EMEA head of banking, capital markets and advisory based in London from 2016 - 2021, where he was responsible for all of Citi’s corporate and investment banking activity, managing 2,000 bankers across 55 presence countries. He was a member of the EMEA Regional Executive Committee, head of Citi Women Affinity and signatory to the Women in Finance Charter (HMT). Philip was Americas head of equity capital markets from 2011 to 2016 and, before that, Americas head of equity syndication from 2004 to 2011, based in New York. He has advised and lead managed many of the largest and highest profile equity offerings ever to have priced globally including Saudi Aramco, Alibaba, TenCent (Naspers), Visa, MasterCard, General Motors. Philip is on the Foundation Board of Exeter University and Reigate Grammar School. He represented England Schools in Decathlon and England Students in Rugby. Philip is married to Megan and together they have three children (Juliet, Alexander and Isabel). Philip is a Fellow of the 2021 Class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
