Dr. Suneem Khan is serving CRPF since 2011 with a marvelous track record of having rendered his glorious service in Northern and Central Kashmir so far. Having been decorated multiple times with a DG's Commendation Medals & Citations for his operational and administrative forthrightness, Dr. Khan went on to fetch President of India’s ‘Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak’ -- country’s highest honor (with most of the awardees in the past having been decorated with it posthumously) from the apical constitutional authority for his indomitable fortitude whilst saving precious lives from under the volley of fire in a terror attack in the Downtown of Srinagar City on 15/08/2016.
One of the widely respected professionals, a social influencer and a thought leader, with a wide spectrum of interface with public, Dr. Khan is known for his flair to write on issues pertaining robust primary health system, mental health, fake news and misinformation. He is known for his consistent engagement with all sections of the conflict-ridden society, especially the all-vulnerable youth.
Dr. Khan has earned a special niche amongst his peers and superiors for his selfless community services during the devastating September 2014 deluge in Kashmir and the pandemic of COVID19, where his pivotal role in ensuring the seamless treatment for CAPFs deployed across Valley, and a palpable cross-section of society has been recognized by one and all. Dr. Khan’s efforts and meticulous planning resulted in zero percent mortality rate amongst his target population of CRPF troopers deployed across Kashmir Valley through the second wave of COVID19, which otherwise swept across with a dreadful rate of mortality and unpredictable morbidity. Dr. Khan is a fellow of KBF VIII (Ananta Aspen), and is a widely travelled man with a linguistic flair. His special interest includes conflict study, reading (non-fiction) and adventure travel.
