Bio:
Shilla is a faculty member at Princeton University teaching Entrepreneurship, and Vice President, Digital Labs at American Express - an innovation incubator which launches consumer and fin tech products to millions of consumers and small businesses globally. Shilla is also the Founder of Thrilling, a platform for small businesses across the country. Thrilling was named by Fast Company as one of the top ten most innovative companies in retail in 2022, and Shilla was named by Inc Magazine as one of the top female founders of 2022. Shilla also serves on the boards of Goodwill NY/NJ, and Bank Street College of Education.
Prior to founding her company, Shilla served as Chief of Staff for Disney ABC. She previously led the Strategy and Business Development group at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where she helped launch new business verticals including fashion, restaurants, publishing, visual arts, and consulting. Shilla started her career as an investment banking analyst at JPMorgan.
She graduated from Harvard College with her BA in economics in 2004 and from Harvard Business School with her MBA in 2009. Shilla is a member of the 2022 Class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Institute. Shilla lives in New York with her husband and two young sons.
