Bio:
Ana Martinez is the Superintendent at Wonderful College Prep Academy, which operates K-12 public charter schools that serves students in the Central Valley of California specifically in the cities Delano and Lost Hills. Ana leads with a foundation of love, hope, equity-focused pedagogy, and strong instructional knowledge. She understands and believes that true change will happen when we connect ourselves and listen to those we serve. Previously, she was the Chief of Staff to the Chief Schools Officer of Aspire Public Schools, a college preparatory charter management organization of 40 schools and 17,000 students. She supported in leading the superintendent team, as well as the Student Support Services Directors. Additionally, she worked with Aspire to create and launch its diversity, equity and inclusion council. Ana has also served in several school site positions such as teacher, Dean of students, Assistant principal and Principal in the South Los Angeles and Huntington Park communities. Being a principal for almost a decade has been her most impactful and humbling role, which has been the foundation of her values-based leadership in continuing her work with several turnaround schools within public and charter systems.
