Itumeleng Kgaboesele
Itumeleng Kgaboesele is co-founder and chief executive officer of Sphere Holdings, an investment company that has invested in industrial services, software services and education. He served on the board of directors of Telkom SA SOC Limited from 2011 to 2018 and is currently an independent non-executive director at Old Mutual Limited.
He is passionate about education and is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Student Sponsorship Programme. He has also served as a board member of the African Leadership Academy.
Itumeleng is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and has over 25 years of experience having held positions with Deutsche Bank AG London, Merrill Lynch and Citi.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town, a Diploma in Financial Markets and Instruments from the University of Johannesburg, and is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
He is married to Charmeela and together they have a 12 year old son, Tau-Sachin.
