Bio:
Constance Elizabeth Swaniker is a master craftsperson, entrepreneur, and educationist driven by a deep commitment to skills development and youth employment, focusing on empowering females. As the visionary founder of Accents & Art (A&A), established in 2000, she has trained numerous university students and artisans in the informal sector. In 2016, she founded the Design & Technology Institute (DTI) to bridge the gap between academia and industry. DTI is an accredited private TVET institution that offers courses in precision welding and fabrication, design innovation, and entrepreneurship. It has earned recognition and support from prestigious organisations such as the Mastercard Foundation and SIFA/AUDA. These achievements underscore the global impact of her work. Constance is a Stanford Seed Fellow, an Aspen Global Leadership Network Fellow, and a board member of Ghana’s Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), where she chairs the Sector Skills Body.
