Bio:
Amy Benziger is a Vice President at Breakwater Strategy, a strategy and insights firm operating at the dynamic intersection of public policy, public conversation and the capital markets. She is working on projects ranging from advising a large foundation on the future of philanthropy in Web3 and GenAI to building social justice scenarios for a major media network. Most recently, she worked with the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) out of UC Berkeley leading a project on the future of digital community creation and content regulation. Previously, she served as the Head of Projects in Cisco’s Innovation Lab, where she led their exploration into the future of work, industrial automation and digital identity.
Prior to that, she was the Managing Director of Lovesocial, a digital agency creating global advocacy campaigns for clients including NPR, The Nature Conservancy and Nike Better World. She began her career as the Director of Content for the Social Capital Markets Conference, the largest global gathering around social impact and entrepreneurship with 3k+ attendees from 60 countries. Within that role, she was part of the launch team member of the Hub, an incubator for social entrepreneurs with 40+ locations worldwide.
She is the Board Chair of the International Crisis Group’s Ambassador Council and is a certified design thinking instructor for The Design Gym. Amy holds a Bachelors in History and Psychology from Dartmouth College and a Master in Publics Affairs from UC Berkeley.
