First Name:
Kimberly
Last Name:
Osagie
Title and Organization:
Founder & Lead Strategist, KEO Advising
Bio:
Dr. Kimberly Osagie reimagines how institutions lead, fund, and scale equity-centered work. Over the past two decades, she has coached executives, restructured organizations, and directed capital toward leaders and ideas that expand possibility. She currently leads KEO Advising, a consulting practice that partners with foundations, nonprofits, and cross-sector coalitions to scale inclusive strategy, transform organizational culture, and share ideas that move systems—from stages to boardrooms around the world. Most recently, Kimberly served as Vice President of Programs at Echoing Green, where she led the programmatic strategy and execution of the $75M Racial Equity Philanthropic Fund—surpassing goals by supporting over 6,000 social innovation leaders and disbursing $20M+ in unrestricted capital. Her senior leadership includes roles at Promise54, Curriculum Associates, and the Walton Family Foundation, where she advised one of the country’s largest education funders on diversified investments and internal equity. Her cross-sector experience spans coaching 100+ senior leaders, publishing field-shaping thought leadership, and designing learning experiences from South Africa to SXSW EDU. Kimberly began her career with Teach for America as an English and Social Studies teacher in Harlem and later joined the founding team at Relay Graduate School of Education, one of New York City’s first standalone graduate schools in over 80 years. She earned a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard University, and holds earlier degrees from Pace University and the University of Virginia, where she was a Jefferson, Echols, and Honorary Holland Scholar. A Nigerian woman shaped by Southern grace and Northeast edge, Kimberly brings cultural fluency, good humor, and deep humanity to the work of systems change. She lives in Washington, DC, where she tends to a growing collection of houseplants and remains a devoted fan of strong stories, live theater, and humming to all-the-songs.
