Bio:
Rafael Gallardo is the Digital Learning Manager for Seattle Public Schools in Washington State. Rafael has been involved in education for the last 22 years and has had the opportunity to work in designing functional technology programs in schools. He has successfully empowered leaders, created sustainable systems, advocated for students, and addressed equity, race, and social justice issues. His portfolio includes being the co-founder and co-director of The Specialized Academy of Computer Media and Animation, a 9th?12th grade arts magnet high school in Long Beach, California, Director of Technology Integration for the Kent School District, and a leading role as Learning Technology Manager for Highline Public Schools. Rafael has successfully managed Race to the Top Project 4 implementation plans for two school districts, created PLCs at district leadership levels, and building communities of practice for 11 schools to lead the development of personalized learning in Highline Public Schools and the Kent School District in Washington State. Rafael is an artist, educator, and a social justice advocate living in Seattle, Washington.
