The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation (TLFF), originally founded as the First Down Fund, was inspired by his mother’s passion for philanthropy and giving back to the Twin Cities community. For nearly two decades TLFF has worked to provide equitable access and new pathways for success for underrepresented communities both nationally and internationally. Through the mission to support youth education and breast cancer awareness, Larry continues to uphold his mother’s legacy by giving back to the community. Larry is also the President of Larry Fitzgerald Enterprises (LFE), through which he invests in companies at various stages in a variety of sectors including real estate, hospitality, travel, sports, and technology. Previously, Larry was a Wide Receiver with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, where he competed in 17 seasons after being selected in the first round of the 2004 draft and receiving the Walter Payton Man of the Year award among many other accolades and holding several League and Team records. Sports continue to be central to Larry’s life as the owner of AZ Drive, a Major League Pickleball team and the Rajasthan Royals cricket team in the Indian Premier League. He also serves on the boards of Dicks Sporting Goods, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and Tempus Ex, a cutting-edge technology company revolutionizing the sports and entertainment industry. Larry is a proud member of the 2023 Class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
