Bio:
Dr Toyin Ajayi is cofounder & CEO of Cityblock Health, a technology-enabled healthcare provider delivering a scalable solution to improve health outcomes for underserved and systemically marginalized populations. Cityblock partners with provider organizations, health plans, community social services agencies and community members, ensuring that Medicaid and dually eligible for Medicare and Medicare beneficiaries have access to high-value, readily available personalized health services. Previously, Toyin served as Chief Medical Officer at Commonwealth Care Alliance, an innovative, nationally recognized health plan which serves populations eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Toyin began her career at Boston University/Boston Medical Center as Family Medicine Hospitalist, Clinical Instructor, and Global Health Fellow. Her work has been published in top journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and Health Affairs.She has been widely recognized for her efforts in driving health equity and innovation, including being named one of Modern Healthcare's Women to Watch in 2023, to the 2021 Entrepreneur Magazine 100 Women of Impact, on the 2020 Inc Female Founders 100 List, and among Business Insider's Top 30 Leaders under 40 Transforming Healthcare in 2019. Toyin received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University; an MPhil from the University of Cambridge; and her medical degree, with Distinction in Clinical Practice, from King’s College London School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center. Toyin is a member of the 2023 Class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
