Sam Goldman is the Director of Development and Partnerships for the Aspen Global Leadership Network, a program of the Aspen Institute and is based in San Francisco. Prior to this role, Sam served as a Senior Manager in the Philanthropic Engagement Department at Burning Man Project, where he oversaw the major gifts program. Sam grew philanthropy programs throughout his time at the organization including fundraising during the pandemic. He developed capital campaigns for sustainability and the arts and was responsible for fund development for Fly Ranch, Burning Man’s 4000 acre property in Northern Nevada. He also worked at the Conservation Lands Foundation, helping rural-based organizations in the American West protect public lands and establish new protected areas and National Monuments. Sam has previously served as a board member of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, where he launched the Jewish Pride fund. A graduate of Bates College in Maine, Sam is originally from St. Louis, MO. He is passionate about the outdoors and spends time exploring mountains and deserts.
