Bio:
Carsten Coesfeld is CEO of Bertelsmann Investments. He is responsible for the Group's global network of funds with >340 active investments and he heads the growth division Bertelsmann Next to develop new growth sectors and lines of business. In addition Carsten is a member of Bertelsmann's Group Management Committee (GMC). In March 2020 Carsten became CEO of the London-based global nonfiction publisher Dorling Kindersley (DK), part of Penguin Random House. Before, Carsten was a member of BFS Health Finance's management board, part of Riverty, and built the new business of revenue cycle management for hospitals. Subsequently, Carsten served as Managing Director/President at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions and transformed the telecommunications and tech business. In 2011 his career at Bertelsmann began as Management Associate to the CEO. Carsten graduated from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management with his bachelor's degree and from London School of Economics with his master's degree. Carsten started his professional career at Goldman Sachs in London in October 2009. Carsten is a non-executive director on the Board of the RTL Group, a member of the Board of Trustees of Bertelsmann Stiftung and the Advisory Board of Bundesvereinigung Logistik.
