Bio:
Anan Kittana is the Managing Director and Chief of Impact for the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN). In this role, Anan leads the strategy and impact of the AGLN and incubates fellowships. Anan is a global strategy leader with deep experience in developing global strategies for large and complex organizations and networks in both the private sector and non-profits. His focus is on strategy and transformation for impact, working with business and community leaders from the private sector, civil society, and government to bring about a just and vibrant world for all. Before joining Aspen, Anan spent approximately 11 years at CARE International – a globally networked humanitarian and development organization operating in 100+ countries. Recently, Anan served as the Senior Global Director of Strategy and Transformation at CARE, driving and implementing the vision and strategy in partnership with 45+ countries. Previously, he held the position of Senior Director for Economic Development and Innovation where he developed best-in-class knowledge products and innovations to eradicate poverty. Anan is known for his thought leadership on social entrepreneurship, leveraging business and markets, technology, and innovation for social impact. Before joining non-profits, Anan was leading the strategy and product management of Royal Bank of Canada's personal checking products. Prior, he held various roles in multinational corporations, including General Motors and TELUS. Anan holds an MBA in the Management of Technology and Innovation from Ryerson University, Toronto, as well as two BSc degrees in Computer Science from La Roche University and Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Anan resides with his wife Jamila and their three children, Ameer, Lara, and Lana. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and traveling to experience different cultures.
