Bio:
Emily Anderson is Vice President, Strategy and Partnerships, at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. In this role, Emily works across the Strategic Engagement team on distinctive creative initiatives and collaborations that deliver high impact for the Center and its work to foster inclusive growth. Emily came to Mastercard from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), where she led thought leadership and partnership strategies to advance innovation in sustainable development with governments and the private sector. Previously, she was the head of incubation at the Virgin Group Foundation, where she built major public-private partnerships and campaigns for climate action, equitable growth, and gender equality. After beginning her career in banking and strategy consulting in London, she spent 3 years working in Southern Africa as a researcher at think tanks in Angola and Mozambique and as the VP of External Relations for Impact Network, an ed-tech NGO in Zambia. Emily holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and has authored several publications relating to growth and sustainability. Originally from New York, she graduated with a BA in International Relations from Colgate and lives in the City with her family.
