Bio:
Prior to joining the Institute, Rasika worked as a Digital Photo/Video Specialist at the Marketing & Promotions department of the LBJ Student Center at Texas State University where she produced and managed multimedia content for the institute’s digital and social media channels. Before entering the marketing realm, she worked as a multimedia journalist at various local news outlets in Central Texas, including KSAT 12 News in San Antonio, Texas, and on-campus student publications like The University Star and KTSW FM 89.9. Some of her best journalistic works include coverage of the school shooting in Uvalde, mass protest in San Marcos, TX, against development of film studios and 2020 presidential and local elections. A few of her projects were also published by notable new outlets like the Austin American-Statesman, KUT 90.5 (Austin’s NPR station) and the Texas Public Radio.
Apart from this, she had also assumed leadership responsibilities as a president of multiple student organizations on campus, including local chapters of Society of Professional Journalists, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honors Society and College Broadcaster, Inc.
