Bio:
Portia Bangerezako is a sustainability practitioner with over twenty five years experience in the financial services sector with experience in the development finance, banking and insurance. She co-chaired the UNEP FI Africa and Middle East in 2013-15 and has been part of the development of frameworks for sustainability management and reporting. In the past year (2024), she has been on a career break, while actively seeking her next. Her interests are in water, waste and climate change, particularly as it pertains to social impacts..
Portia holds a BSoc Sci in Environmental Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Masters degree in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University.
