Mohit Sadani

About

[Edit]

First Name:
Mohit
Last Name:
Sadani
Title and Organization:
Co-Founder, The Moms Co
Bio:
Mohit started his career as a computer engineer joining TCS for 2 years and then on to IIM Ahmedabad from 2006-08. He then spent 7 years in McKinsey in the retail and consumer goods space across India and UK. Wanting to switch over to the e-commerce side, he joined e-commerce firm Snapdeal to head Growth and Strategy. Through his journey Mohit wanted to start his own business and in 2017, he co- founded The Moms Co., which he and his wife built into India's largest Mom & Baby brand within 4 years. The brand was acquired by a startup in 2021 in what was India's largest D2C acquisition at that time giving Mohit the time and space to chart the next chapter of his life. He did this by trying to be “successfully retired”, spending his time travelling the world, spending time with his daughters, learning new skills such as scuba and golf, angel investing in 30 companies and more. Over time, Mohit found himself drawn towards supporting early stage founders he invested in and spent more of his time coaching, brainstorming and then creating content that could help young founders. In October 2024, Mohit came out of retirement to launch head an early stage investing firm as MD at DeVC in India. Mohit is excited to create a platform that invests in early stage companies, helping the founders grow and creating DeVC as a truly founder-first VC firm led by founders (founder-investors as still a rare breed in India).
