Bio:
Jasper van Brakel is president and CEO of RSF Social Finance in San Francisco, a private debt fund and philanthropic services provider focused on impact. He works with investors and small- to midsized enterprises with a mission that benefits society and the planet. Jasper also serves on several private boards in the purpose-driven consumer products industry in the US. He previously held positions as an operating partner with an impact-focused family office and held senior executive positions in the US, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany at the Weleda Group, a Swiss multinational personal care and pharma company. From 2008 until 2016 he was president and CEO of Weleda North America, where he oversaw a major growth initiative.
His commitment is to regenerate the world with the power of finance and business.
Jasper published articles about impact investing and regenerative finance in various media outlets including Fast Company, Forbes, the Financial Times, Wealth Manager, and Stanford Social Innovation Review. He has been recognized several times by Real Leaders as a top Impact Leader, most recently in 2024.
Jasper has volunteered on the boards of Waldorf Schools since 2009. Whole child education, whereby head, heart and hands synergistically work together, is an important part of his philosophy.
He earned a graduate degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and graduated from Harvard Business School's General Management Program. Jasper is a Fellow of the Aspen Finance Leadership Fellowship Program and a Member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
