Title and Organization:
Founder & CEO, Little Oasis Group
Bio:
Jennifer Ma, the founder and former CEO of Little Oasis Group, is now the Chief of Staff at Take2 and a Research Fellow at Georgia Tech. Born in China and raised in New Zealand, she has worked globally for L'Oréal and Nestle. In 2012, she returned to China and established Little Oasis, China’s first family club, earning recognition as the "Most Influential Brand" by Tencent. Little Oasis Group is a family lifestyle and education company. Inspired by her upbringing in New Zealand, Ma developed Little Oasis to provide a comprehensive, lifestyle-oriented early childhood education experience that blends the New Zealand education framework "Te Whariki" with modern family services. Since launching the business, Ma has successfully expanded Little Oasis to operate 15 family clubs across 11 cities in China. Under her leadership, Little Oasis has grown to offer a diverse range of services, including kindergartens, family cafes, playgrounds, and community spaces, while also engaging in retail, publishing, and cultural projects. After exiting the business in 2022, Jennifer now focuses on social impact, research, and AI, particularly for marginalized groups. She has been honored as a World Class New Zealander Inductee by KEA and named in the "40 under 40" by the University of Auckland. Jennifer holds a Conjoint degree in Law and Commerce from the University of Auckland and a Master’s in Education from Harvard University. Jennifer is a Fellow of the 2024 Class of the Aspen Institute’s China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
