Mao Wenchao is a Chinese entrepreneur and the founder &CEO of Xiaohongshu（rednote）. He holds an MBA degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business and was once employed by Bain & Company. Xiaohongshu is a lifestyle community platform, with over 350 million monthly active users as of 2024. On Xiaohongshu, users can record moments of their daily lives and share their lifestyles through posts, videos, livestreams and other media forms. Highly popular among younger generations, Xiaohongshu has become an irreplaceable destination for lifestyle trends, consumer decisions, and inspiration for daily endeavors. Mao Wenchao is a Fellow of the 2024 Class of the Aspen Institute’s China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
