Maurice Cooper serves as Chief Customer Officer at Bath & Body Works, with responsibility for marketing, communications, and growth strategy. In this role, he is focused on the profitable acceleration of the company’s top line, defining and increasing the cultural relevance of the brand, and growing a passionate customer base by way of compelling end-to-end experiences.
Maurice is an award-winning marketer, possessing more than 20 years of brand-building experience in retail, hospitality, consumer products and consulting. By virtue of his successful track record of transforming and growing business at Target Corporation, Wingstop Restaurants, InterContinental Hotels Group, and The Coca Cola Company, Maurice has become well known for translating bold ideas, breakthrough strategies and brand love into strong financial performance and increased customer loyalty. In 2024, he was recognized as an ADWEEK Brand Genius honoree, and previously received Ebony’s Power 100 Corporate Citizen Award, and the CMO Club Growth Award.
Maurice is as a Board Advisor for CardWorks, Inc., and has served on boards including the Ad Council, Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA), Association of National Advertisers’ AIMM, PTTOW!, and The Ron Clark Academy.
Maurice holds a bachelor's degree from Morehouse College and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is a proud husband and father of two amazing young adults.
