Esteban Abascal graduated with honors on International Business from “Universidad Anahuac del Norte” on 2009. He joined “Grupo La Moderna” on 2009. Rising to become CEO of Interamerican Foods Corp. (La Moderna USA) in 2018, he oversees the whole operation in the USA. Abascal has been a distinguished speaker in different forums such as PROMEXICO Global, Expo ANTAD, and Pasta World Congress. He has received numerous awards, including the CEO of the Year in 2019, the Young Business Professional Award in 2021, and the Dallas 500 in 2025. Some of his career's best achievements were the Strategic alliance with “Bryden´s” in Trinidad and Tobago, the development of the strategy to build the first pasta factory in the US, the development of the Colombian and Hong Kong markets, the development of the Food Service and Ingredient pasta markets in the USA in 2020, doubled pasta sales in the USA in 2021, record of sales and net profit in 2022. The latest project he is working on is the expansion of the factory, consolidating the company as one of the key dry pasta producers in the United States. Today, Esteban Abascal serves on the Board of Directors of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce, the National Pasta Association of the United States, the International Pasta Organization, and The North-Central Texas Workforce Commission
