Bio:
Garret W. Weston is a member of the executive committee and the head of global strategic partnerships at AMG, a strategic partner to leading independent investment management firms globally. In this capacity, Garret works to build AMG’s strategic relationships with large institutions and global investors. From 2023 – 2025, he led the creation of AMG’s Affiliate Product Strategy group as the Head of Affiliate Product Strategy and Development, where he led the team that collaborates with Affiliates to develop and execute strategic product opportunities across global markets. From 2020 to 2023, he was the Co-Head of Affiliate Engagement, collaborating with Affiliates on strategic matters. In this capacity he also oversaw AMG’s global distribution platforms and the execution of its strategic evolution. Garret joined the Company in 2008 as a member of the New Investments group, where he focused on the execution of AMG’s new Affiliate transactions and also spent time as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He has also been the management representative on AMG’s U.S. wealth alternative product and mutual fund board of trustees since 2021.
Prior to joining AMG in 2008, Garret worked as an investment professional at Madison Dearborn Partners focusing on financial services and basic industries transactions and an analyst in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group of Merrill Lynch & Co. Garret received a B.S.E. in Operational Research and Financial Engineering and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
