Bio:
Rashi is a Trustee at the Talwar Foundation and at the Kannan Foundation. At the Talwar Foundation she focuses on raising resources and funds for the running and upkeep of St. Michaels Girls Hostel which provides basic education, boarding and lodging for 115 girls from underprivileged homes and other backward sections of society. The Talwar Foundation has also set up vocational training institutes across India to provide market focused livelihood programs to girls from backward sections of society. It touches the lives of over 500 young girls. At the Kannan Foundation, she is involved in the rescue, treatment and rehabilitation of sick and injured animals. At any given point of time Kannan is treating and rehabilitating over 50 stray/abandoned animals. Rashi currently works as a Co-Portfolio Advisor at Ashmore Investment Advisors India, and partner at AshmoreEMM, LLC. Prior to Ashmore, she was Vice President, Asian equity Sales at Kotak Institutional Equities. Rashi received her Master's in Business Administration from Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in 1999. She resides in Mumbai with her husband, Aditya and her daughter Raina. She is a Fellow of the fourth class of Kamalnayan Bajaj FellowshipFellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
