Bio:
Nabeel is the founder of the 101-for-Amman organization with the mission to foster active citizenship in the capital city Amman. Nabeel serves as Head of Strategy at the Kawar Group, private equity practice focused on solar energy. Prior to that, Nabeel was elected as secretary general of the Jordan Basketball Federation, a tenure which concluded with qualifying the men’s national team to the world championship. He was in charge of launching the first internationally-accredited marathon coinciding with Amman’s centennial celebrations. In 2006, Nabeel managed the Jordan chapter of the ‘Young Arab Leaders’, a network of established young Arabs led by the Ruler of Dubai and King of Jordan with a mission to make a difference in local communities. Nabeel started his consulting career at the EU-funded Industrial Modernization Program in Jordan, focusing on pharmaceuticals exports. He earned his Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and he has a Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Nabeel chaired two public shareholding companies; he is a member in the Council of Directors of the Jubilee Institute and a member of the Jordan Strategies Forum.
