Title and Organization:
Dr. Adria Goodson is the director for the Ford Global Fellowship program, a new program of The Ford Foundation. She is a Pahara-Aspen Fellow with the 13Deep Cohort and was the Chief Program Officer for The Pahara Institute 2015 - 2020. She is a moderator for both the Pahara Institute and The Aspen Institute. Adria has spent over 20 years catalyzing resources to support the learning and development of social justice leaders, national non-profit executives, and education leaders. Prior to her work with Pahara, she was the founding director of Hunt Alternatives' Prime Movers fellowship program, a program that supported social movement leaders in the United States.
Adria served on the faculty of Harvard University's Graduate School of Education for over a decade and earned her doctoral degree from Boston College in sociology, specializing in social movement theory, public policy, and philanthropy. She has authored several pieces on movement leadership and has been a featured speaker at TedXBeaconStreet. Earlier in her career, Adria worked for the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago developing marketing strategies for clients, including McDonald’s Corporation and Kellogg Corporation. She and Max Vohlken are the proud parents of a spectacular teenager. In her spare time, Dr. Goodson is an avid foodie, a creative chef, a novice poet, and she deeply appreciates a good pun.
