When and where is the 25th Anniversary? 

The 25th anniversary begins at 4:00pm on Friday, June 9th, and concludes after the breakfast session on Sunday, June 11th at 11:00AM. The event will be hosted at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk in Chicago, IL.

 

What health precautions will be implemented?  

We strongly encourage all those who attend Aspen Institute events to be up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations, as defined by the CDC. Masks are welcome but not required. If you need a mask, we can provide one to you. For more information, please refer to the Aspen Institute Health and Safety Advisory.  

 

What are the general expectations for Aspen Institute Community Engagement? 

Please review the Aspen Institute Community Agreement and agree to adhere to them at all times during the Henry Crown Fellowship 25th Anniversary.  

 

How much does registration cost and what is included? 

Thanks to the generosity of our financial supporters, registration rates are well below the actual cost of the event. The cost to register is $500. This rate is inclusive of all meals, sessions, and activities. Spouses/significant others are welcome and can participate in all activities and sessions, except the seminar reading sessions.  

 

How do I register? 

You'll receive a registration link via email. If you haven't received your registration link, please contact Skyler Stoner. Alternatively, you can login to the AGLN Site here and register. Space is limited and accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. Register Early!  

 

What is the cancellation fee? 

From April 1 - midnight EST, May 19, 2023, a cancellation fee of $250 will incur. Starting May 20, 2023, the full registration fee will be forfeited. Please reach out to Esther M. Turner with any questions or concerns you have about our cancellation policy.

Spouse/Partner Engagement

Can my spouse/partner participate in the HCF 25th Anniversary? 

Yes, spouses and partners can join the 25th Anniversary. You can register your spouse/partner through your Fellow registration form. Spouses/partners must agree to the media release and Aspen Institute Community Agreement. The media release will be sent via DocuSign once your register them.  

 

Is my spouse/partner able to participate in all activities? 

Spouses/partners are invited to participate fully in the event, other than seminar sessions. During the seminar session, they will be invited to participate in activities in the lounge or explore all that Chicago has to offer.  

     

Travel

When should I arrive? 

We recommend arriving anytime on Friday, June 9th before 4:00pm. The Anniversary will kick off with a Welcome Reception for 4:00pm.  

 

When should I depart? 

We suggest a departure flight anytime on Sunday, June 11th. The 25th Anniversary concludes with the breakfast session at 11:00am.  

 

What is the closest airport? 

Chicago has two airports: O’Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway. O’Hare International Airport is approximately 17 miles from our host hotel, Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, while Chicago Midway Is 12.5 miles. 

 

How can I book lodging at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk? 

Discounted hotel room rates at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk are valid June 9-11, 2023.

 

What if the HCF room block is full? 

Once our discounted room block is full, you can still book your stay at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk at their regular room rates by going to Marriott.com/CHIGS.

What is the dress code? 

Dress code for the 25th Anniversary is casual. The average temperature in Chicago in June is 77°/63°. Dinner Saturday evening at the Field Museum is black tie optional. 

 

My class wants to plan a reunion, how do we begin? 

If your classmates wish to plan a reunion, be sure to reference the Class Reunion Kit. We recommend starting the process by locking in a date, sourcing readings, and planning some activities. Be sure to share any photos with our team by sending them to Sean Meade.
